DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK - 1 DAY TOUR


1-day tour, Doi Inthanon                                                              from 2.300 thb per person 

Doi Inthanon – The highest mountain in Thailand, blessed by many scenic views, is considered one of the highlights of Chiang Mai. Doi Inthanon, also called “the roof of Thailand” has been a popular destination and is often chosen by our customers
as a 1- or 2-day tour. 
Home to a few different hill tribes like the Karen en Hmong minorities, the Doi Inthanon mountain also offers a lot of waterfalls and wildlife.

This tour is for people who are looking for a balance between culture, nature, and adventure. Our tour guides will take you to breathtaking views, and local hill tribe villages and take you on an adventure during a 1,5 trek where you sometimes have to climb. 

ITINERARY

 

This trip is well organized but relaxed. In order to give you the best experience and maximum time doing your preferred activities, there’s not a set schedule. We are flexible to accommodate a different order should you want to spend more time on an activity or change your schedule. The day may feel less structured than what you’re used to but rest assured, you’ll get a chance to experience everything!
 

PICK UP TIME & DROP OFF TIME
We will pick you up from your accommodation or any convenient location in Chiang Mai city.

  • Pick up time ~7:00 am, return at ~ 6:000 pm

WACHIRATHAN WATERFALL

After we entered the Doi Inthanon national park we will drive to the Wachirathan waterfall. You will have time to enjoy the beautiful waterfall and take some pictures and then we will continue our journey.

HIKE TO THE ROYAL TWIN PAGODA
Our guide will show you the pagodas, offered to the King and Queen of Thailand for their birthdays, built by the army. Drive about 30 minutes up and enjoy the scenic views on the top of Thailand.

 

PA PONG PIANG RICE TERRACES
Make a stop at one of Chiang Mai’s best-kept secrets. Ban Pa Pong Piang, surrounded by the mountains undoubtedly offers one of the most beautiful rice terraces in Thailand. if not the most beautiful ones.
*We will visit the Pa Pong Wiang rice terraces during the rice season (July-November)

LUNCH

Time to take a break and relax before we continue our journey. We will have lunch with a view over the rice terraces prepared by a local Karen Family. 
 

2-3 HOUR HIKE + KAREN HILL TRIBE VILLAGE
We will start our 2-3 hours hike through the jungle following a narrow mountain trail that leads us to a stunning hidden waterfall. Don’t worry, leave anything you don’t want to carry in the car. we have plenty of time to relax at the waterfall, explore and enjoy nature. We will pass through the farmland on the way and visit a coffee plantation, you are able to roast coffee beans, brew the coffee and enjoy the aroma taste of the fresh coffee.

LOCAL KAREN VILLAGE
We will walk around in a local Karen village where your tour guide will tell us more about the lifestyle in the village and the different hill tribes in Thailand. 

 

RETURN BACK TO THE HOTEL
After that, we will head back down to Chiang Mai and arrive approximately around 6 pm
 

We offer private custom tours, you can hike anywhere from 1 to 4 hours depending on what you ask for. If you don’t specify what you want, hikes are usually 3 hours and moderate in difficulty
