LOCAL MARKET Visit a local market in Mae Wang, learn more about the local food, and buy the ingredients for dinner.
WACHIRATHAN WATERFALL
After we entered the Doi Inthanon national park we will drive to the Wachirathan waterfall. You will have time to enjoy the beautiful waterfall and take some pictures and then we will continue our journey.
2-HOUR HIKE + KAREN HILL TRIBE VILLAGE We will start our 2-hour hike through the jungle following a narrow mountain trail that leads us to a stunning hidden waterfall. Don’t worry, leave anything you don’t want to carry in the car. We have plenty of time to relax at the waterfall, explore and enjoy nature. We will pass through the farmland on the way and visit a coffee plantation, you are able to roast coffee beans, brew the coffee and enjoy the aroma taste of the fresh coffee. PA PONG PIANG RICE TERRACES Make a stop at one of Chiang Mai’s best-kept secrets. Ban Pa Pong Piang, surrounded by the mountains undoubtedly offers one of the most beautiful rice terraces in Thailand. if not the most beautiful ones.
LUNCH
Time to take a break and relax before we continue our journey. We will have lunch with a view over the rice terraces prepared by a local Karen Family.
HIKE TO THE ROYAL TWIN PAGODAour guide will show you the pagodas, offered to the King and Queen of Thailand for their birthdays, built by the army. Drive about 15-20 minutes up and enjoy the scenic views on the Top of Thailand
LOCAL KAREN VILLAGE & HOMESTAY We will go to our host family in the Karen village and prepare dinner together on the fire. Sing a song, play some of the famous Karen jungle games and go to bed.
BREAKFAST Wake up by the sound of the roaster and enjoy a freshly made breakfast by your tour guide.
WALK AROUND IN THE VILLAGE Walk around the village with the tour guide and learn more about their culture, lifestyle, and history. EAT A JUNGLE-STYLE LUNCH
We do a short hike into the jungle, along the hike there are beautiful views of the jungle. After a 1-hour hike, we take a break and prepare lunch together over the fire in bamboo. A truly unique and authentic experience! BAMBOO RAFTING
Watch the world go by while floating down the river on a bamboo raft. The Mae Wang river is a slow-flowing, picturesque river in the lush jungle.
RETURN BACK TO THE HOTEL
After that, we will head back down to Chiang Mai and arrive approximately around 6 pm We offer private custom tours, you can hike anywhere from 1 to 4 hours depending on what you ask for.

DOI SUTTHEP TEMPLE The Buddhist Wat Phra That Doi Sutthep temple is one of the sacred and most important temples in Chiang Mai, established in 1383. The temple is located on the top of Doi Sutthep mountain and offers a beautiful view over Chiang Mai. The tour guide will explain more about the (Buddhist) history and explains how we offer flowers to Buddha and pray. You might even get blessed by a monk at the temple!
LOCAL LUNCH
Time to take a break and relax! We will have lunch near the Bua Tong waterfalls.
BUA TONG WATERFALLS The Bua Tong waterfalls with 5 different layers are scenic against the backdrop of the lush green forest. The water comes up from a natural spring, and it has such high levels of dissolved minerals that it coats the rocks and tree roots in limestone. They call them the “Sticky waterfalls” because it's easy to climb due to their grip. It is possible to climb all the way up to the waterfall which makes this waterfall very unique and popular!
RETURN BACK TO THE HOTEL After that, we will head back down to Chiang Mai and drop you off at your accommodation around approximately 6:00 pm.

CHIANG DAO CAVE One of Thailand's most famous temples is the Chang Dao cave, it runs deep into the mountain that broods over the small town of Chiang Dao. The cave complex is made up of five caves extending more than 10 km into the Chiang Dao mountain. WAT THAM PHA PLONG TEMPLE
The Picturesque Wat Tham Pha Plong temple can be reached by 500 steps, along the trail there are posted inspiring Buddhist quotes which are also written in English. The golden stupa is located on a mountain and offers breathtaking views from the top, the actual temple is inside a cave. VISIT LOCAL MARKET Stop to visit the Mae Malai market on the way, this is a colorful and exotic market, where the local people and the hill tribes meet and trade their goods like fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers. SRI SAN WAN STICKY WATERFALL This multi-tiered waterfall in the Chang Dao National Park is a perfect place to relax, and experience the magnificent Thai jungle without large groups of tourists. The stones are made from limestone and mineral deposits which makes it very easy to climb. LOCAL LUNCH

The Pong Arng Hot Springs contains three different natural springs: two hot springs (51 C and 58 C), and one cold spring. You can enjoy the springs at an area that contains two stone pools, filled with fresh sulphuric spring water. Locals use a technique of alternating between soaking in a hot pool and stepping into a cold shower to achieve an ultimate state of relaxation.
VIEWING POINT WIANG HAENG
Make a stop at a beautiful viewing point at Wiang Haeng, after enjoying some tea or coffee we will continue our drive. MAE PAEM VILLAGE
Late in the afternoon, we will arrive in Ban Mae Paem, a traditional Karen village where you will stay overnight. You will meet your host family and cook dinner together with them. STAY OVERNIGHT IN HOMESTAY
You can stay overnight in the house of the host family, a traditional wooden Karen house on poles or in a cob-house located next to the house of the host family. BREAKFAST

CEREMONY
Karen wrist tying ceremony is one of the ancient traditions of the Karen hill tribe people. It is not only a Karen Buddhist/Animist tradition that we maintain and celebrate but rather a reminder to citizens of all nationalities of that we can live together in unity and strength. TREKKING
Go deep into the jungle and learn how to survive! Trek, cook, explore and enjoy being in nature at it’s most alive and exciting. The local tour guide from the village will explain more about the medicinal herbs they are using.

After breakfast, we will walk around the house, feed the chickens and pigs, and continue our walk through the village. The tour guide explains more about the different hill tribes in Thailand and the Karen culture.
LOCAL SCHOOL
Part of the tour includes a visit to the hill tribe school in the village. This small local government (kindergarten) school is a 10-minute walk from the homestay. We can buy some snacks for the children and play games with them. *The school is not open on the weekends

KAREN CEREMONY
After walking around through the village to meet more people of the Karen community we will do a Karen wrist tying ceremony. This is one of the ancient traditions of the Karen hill tribe people. The white thread is tied on the wrists while chanting to call back your spirit. This ceremony is done for many different reasons. It's done with wedding ceremonies, celebrating New Year, when someone is sick, or wishing someone safe travels.
